And away!

2nd year of Uni is over, just waiting on the results now. Been manic recently - had an interview for an internship at Disney online in London and my sister came down to stay for a week during which we had epic marathons of Game of Thrones (oh yes). Been doing some doodles in the meantime, trying to get back into the swing of things, and this one is what I did while watching '24 hours in A&E', a great TV programme that reminds me of my sister (who's doing nursing). Fineliner, scanned and messed around with colours etc on the PC (although I have a MacBook now, still getting it set up). About an hour's worth of work but hopefully will be posting more later.

Life Drawing with collage

I very rarely use collage in my work. No particular reason, I've just never been fantastic at it and never bothered to try it much. But as part of our life drawing classes using mixed media we had a session using collage today. And it was pretty fun!
Here's the last two I did (clothed, not nudes), each 35mins, although the shiny paper didn't scan well:

Doodle of Max cutting food up and a self-portrait using Faber Castell Markers. I really, really hate having to do self-portraits. Particularly with only a hand mirror...

Life Drawing Mixed Media

I'm not normally one who likes mixed media, but this week's life drawing was painting with rags and cardboard, then I messed around using acrylic, ink, and pastel. Clothed figures are a lot different to draw than traditional nudes, but it's fun!

Mushroom Muffins

Doodling with markers. This is classed as a doodle because otherwise I'd have to be ashamed of it.More bits and pieces from the land of sketchbooks. Mostly doodles and stuff, like this mini-yeti comic. It's cute, I want it...Some photoshop warmups that I've been doing with Max trying to keep us both motivated! Rocks. Then I got bored and drew Link from behind. And then a space hopper appeared.
