Oh Tropes, how much I love thee

Not sure if anyone else geeks out quite as much as I do over tropes. Here, have a sketchbook page:

Calender Flowers

Here's some scans of the first 4 images of flowers relating to each month of the calender. The calendar itself should be available at Artsfest if all goes well!
Done entirely in markers, apologies for the quick bad-q scan, guys!

Mushroom Muffins

Doodling with markers. This is classed as a doodle because otherwise I'd have to be ashamed of it.More bits and pieces from the land of sketchbooks. Mostly doodles and stuff, like this mini-yeti comic. It's cute, I want it...Some photoshop warmups that I've been doing with Max trying to keep us both motivated! Rocks. Then I got bored and drew Link from behind. And then a space hopper appeared.

...I don't know either...

Sketchbook stuff

Hey all, been suffering a severe lack of inspiration to do anything awesome, so have some pics from my visual journal instead. Pages are really thin - its a moleskine book - so stuff shows through a bit. Who can tell what game I'm currently obsessively playing?

Japan Shrine Guide

Designed several pages for a guide to the Ten Shrines of Tokyo for my applied illustration project. Here are some of the final images:

Artsfest 2011

So, I've got confirmation that I'll be at Birmingham Artsfest 2011 this September, both Saturday and Sunday. I'll have some original artwork, prints, some zines and badges to sell, and possibly a couple of t-shirts too.

Feel free to come and say hi! I'll be set up on the Art On The Railings by The Rep. Until then I have uni to finish and some fresh artwork to produce!

Have some Superflat

Okay, so for my illustration project at uni, I've been studying Japan. Mostly the traditional stuff but I love the superflat style and old prints etc.
So this here's some of the development work to decide upon the style I want to make my Tokyo Shrine Guide in!

Where did all the time go?

Since being back in Shirley for the Easter hols, I have been incredibly busy. Just catching up with life more than busy with drawing. I've done a little bit though - going to get down to some proper stuff later this week - including this pic, A4 markers, of a bike helmet that my mom's partner owns.

I feel like I should work on drawing machines next. It's been a while, anyway. I need to get working anyway because we have our major project coming up, and I applied to the Artsfest too...
