Japan Development

Further work building on the stuff I draw in Japan / photos I took etc. And Eva 02, which we saw, and which was awesome if gross. Mix of media here: watercolour, gouache, ink.

Doodles from Japan!

The reason for my long absence recently was due to my being in Japan on a much-anticipated holiday with my sister!! We've been wanting to go for years and finally managed to, much thanks to my wonderful mother!  Was too busy sightseeing to do much drawing but here are a few sketches:

Just Because

I really enjoyed doodling these way back during the old book cover project so decided to finish them up and make a mini-zine out of them. Why not? Although I have plenty of other stuff to be working on I couldn't focus until I got this out of my system!

Book Cover - Eye in the Sky

1 week, Thursday to Thursday, spent on a book cover project for the book 'Eye In The Sky' by Philip K. Dick. It's one of his lesser-known but awesome books.

Some development work from my sketchbook:

How to Eat a Digestive Biscuit

Just in case you were wondering what the correct way to eat a digestive biscuit was.
Mini-zine illustrated with sepia ink. And yes, this is how I eat digestive biscuits, and spend my spare time.

TJ&E

My entry for a retro video game zine over at jgillustration.tumblr.com. Used to love playing Toe-Jam and Earl with my sister.

You're Waiting For A Train

I love this movie so much. Also my rubbish colouring of sketches is something I'll try to fix in the future.

Quick Update

Just a quick update to say that I'm not only on blogger (here) but also on Tumblr under the name geegrevesy, to follow some people and to post fanart-y stuff. So if you see some things that look familiar up there, it's me.
I've also set up a Big Cartel account for anyone interested in grabbing some badges/prints, making it easier than e-mailing/paypal. To see what's available check out the Prints and Products page at the top of this blog. The site is http://ggreves.bigcartel.com/.

Now have a doodle page of the current cast of In-Jokes (which will probably increase soon) so that this post isn't just text:

Barcelona Study Trip

I've been on a study trip in Barcelona this last week, doing lots of drawing and seeing many inspiring places. Here's a couple of sketchbook images from the trip. For more check out: sketchbook gallery (DeviantArt)
